Yosemite Foothills Fire Safe Council Updated:01/2022

The Yosemite Foothills Fire Safe Council is a non-governmental, non-regulatory partnership working with all members of the community, including the fire protection agencies, to reduce the loss of life and property from wildfires. Agencies such as the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection generally don’t do non-emergency brush clearing on private property. As a non-profit organization, we can apply for grants to assist with projects on private land to augment fuels reduction work the agencies are doing on public land.
