We are a family-owned and operated farm located four miles east of the Pacific coast and tucked within the coastal valleys of northwestern Marin county. We belong to the Estero San Antonio watershed where each day we dedicate ourselves to creating a more harmonious relationship with the land, to our community and to the future of this ecosystem.
rue Grass Farms is an active leader in the carbon farm planning movement. We graze our animals for ecological benefits on coastal prairie and oak savanna, while collaborating with Point Blue Conservation Science who helps monitor our grasslands and grazing protocols. We are part of the California Healthy Soil initiative with over 4 acres of oak and chestnut Sylvopasture, 1 mile of hedgerow for wildlife and pollinator habitat and multi-acre compost application on our home base in Tomales, California.
