The Scott Valley Fire Safe Council is dedicated to working with all stakeholders to protect the natural beauty and resources located in Scott Valley, California.

Scott Valley Fire Safe Council's objectives are:

• Become a fire safe community
• Identify and treat areas with high fuel loading near residential areas to obtain a lower hazard level.
• Develop and maintain an effective fire defense zone around the residential areas from Forest Mountain to Scott Mountain.
• Promote public awareness and cooperation in implementation of projects.
