The Santa Barbara County Fire Safe Council is pursuing solutions to multiple challenges concerning the safety of residents of Santa Barbara County presented by wildfire and other disasters. Santa Barbara County Fire Council (SBCFSC) was organized around the idea that residential community leaders would administer a liaison with fire agency officials and other emergency responders to develop strategies for dealing with the ongoing threat of wildfire in the wildland urban interface areas of Santa Barbara County through education and hazard reduction. Through our 501(c)3 tax status we assist in the grant process for fuel mitigation projects for member organizations.
