California Alfalfa and Forage Association Updated:07/2022

Founded in 1998, CAFA is led by growers and exists to represent and protect industry interests for growers across California. CAFA's Sacramento headquarters allow the Association to represent the industry when confronted with both legislative and regulatory issues. 

Another aspect of CAFA's mission is to educated the public about the importance of alfalfa and forage in California. This educational outreach is designed to explain both the environmental and economical benefits that the industry confers to California and the public at large. 

?CAFA is proud to be a donor of the California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom, a Foundation committed to educating students about the importance of California agriculture in their everyday lives. The Foundation provides education resources for students, including informational Commodity Fact Sheets. CAFA supplied information to the Foundation to create an Alfalfa Fact Sheet to be distributed to Californian schools.
