Barrett Farms is located in Lake County, California, an area known for producing walnuts, pears and wine grapes. We decided to do something quite different in terms of farming in Lake County and that is concentrating on Poultry.
The age old question of "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?" has been answered here. We started off with Rhode Island Reds as our egg layers. Many of our customers tell us that they are addicted to By Cracky It's Jackie's Farm Fresh Eggs.
Clucky Plucky Poultry is the last stage of the development of Barrett Farms. We now can offer our customers certified organic chicken, turkey, guinea fowl and pheasant. Good news, if you live in California; you can purchase our products through e-mail. The poultry is processed in a California Department of Food and Agriculture licensed poultry processing plant that was built on our farm. There are two State of California licensed Poultry Meat Inspectors at our facility when we are processing. This way we can ensure that our customers get a wholesome product.
Our farm is certified organic by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF).
