San Luis Reservoir Wildlife Area Updated:04/2023

San Luis Reservoir Wildlife Area is 902 acres of steep oak-grassland habitat, typical of the inner coastal range. Several mammals are found on the area, including gray fox, black-tailed deer and wild pigs. 101 species of birds have been recorded in the area. This is also a good area for observing spring wildflowers. Past land use was primarily the grazing of cattle. The property was designated as a wildlife area by the Fish and Game Commission in 1974.
