South Santa Clara County Fire Safe Council Updated:02/2023

The Santa Clara County Firesafe Council (SCCFSC) is a non-profit, grassroots organization that provides education and project assistance for homeowners and landowners in communities that are vulnerable to wildfire. While most of our wildfire preparedness work is focused in Santa Clara County, some communities in the Santa Cruz Mountains — like 95033 and 95044 — also spill into Santa Cruz County. In these cases SCCFSC includes the entire zip code in our treatment area.

In addition to partnering directly with CAL FIRE, Santa Clara County Fire, and regional fire districts, SCCFSC works with public agencies, other non-profits, businesses and private landowners to design and implement protective measures, such as developing shaded fuel breaks, to increase wildfire survivability.
