Sierra Seed Supply is located in Greenville, Plumas County California at the very Northern end of the Sierra Nevada mountains and the very Southern end of the Cascade mountain range. Since retiring from the U.S. Forest Service in 1994 my wife and I decided to start our California native seed business in the spring of 1995. Our native seed business is an offshoot of my job with the U.S. Forest Service which entailed collecting native seed as a Culturist. We hand collect and clean all of our native seeds ourselves. Our native seed is collected from as low as 500' to as high as 8,000' in elevation. We have been selling our native seed to seed specialists for the past 28 years. Sierra Seed Supply does not knowingly collect or sell native seed from endangered plants. We use seed collecting techniques that do not impact native plant areas. On the other hand we try to sell only native seed that has not been labeled as a weed seed. It is not our intent to spread noxious weeds.
