Fall River Mills Ecological Reserve Updated:06/2019

This small 1 acre reserve is used as nesting territory by a large colony of State-listed threatened bank swallows. The property was acquired in 1990 to protect existing nesting habitat. It was designated as an ecological reserve by the Fish and Game Commission in 1998. The main feature of this property is an exposed, sandy bluff that faces south. Animal species typical of annual grassland habitat can be expected to be occasionally found here.
